Eicher Motors shares were trading in the green on 4 September on the back of better-than-expected sales numbers for the flagship Royal Enfield motorcycles during the month of August.
The motorcycle company recorded an 11% YoY increase in its number for August at 77,583 units.
The exports of motorcycles also saw a 13% YoY increase to 8,090 units from 7,220 units in the month during the previous fiscal year.
Eicher Motors’ core trucks and buses segment reported a 27.5% YoY increase, having sold 6,239 units in August.
On 1 September, the company also announced the launch of Royal Enfield Bullet 350, which has a base price of Rs 1.73 lakhs.
The company expects the new model’s monthly sales to range between 13,000 – 15,000 units.
