Duke Energy Earnings Miss, Revenue Beats in Q3

On Friday, Duke Energy reported third-quarter earnings that missed forecasts. On the contrary, revenue topped expectations. Reportedly, Duke Energy announced EPS (Earnings per share) of USD 1.78 on revenue of USD 7.97B. Analysts anticipated EPS of USD 1.88 on revenue of USD 7.36B.

From the start of the year, the company’s shares are down 11 per cent. Notable, Duke Energy shares were 52-week high in April at USD 116.33. The company’s competitor NextEra Energy reported EPS of USD 0.85 on revenue of USD 6.72B.
