In the month of May, the domestic passenger car sales has declined marginally by 0.86 percent to 1,58,996 units from 1,60,371 units in the year ago month.
According to the data released by the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM), the sales of motorcycle in last month increased 3.34 percent to 9,85,158 units from 9,53,311 units a year earlier.
In May the total two-wheeler sales increased 9.75 percent to 15,15,556 units.
SIAM has said that the sales of commercial vehicles increased 16.89 percent to 57, 089 units in May.
