DevOps startup Devtron, a software delivery platform, has raised $12 million in new funding led by global investor Insight Partners. The funding round follows the previous financing from Angel Investors and Leo Capital. Devtron would utilize the new capital to promote its platform, expand its company and expand into new markets.
CEO and Co-founder Prashant Ghildiyal and Rajesh Razdan, co-founder and CBO of the company, said that since the company has become open source, thousands of nimble startups across the globe are installing Devtron every month, along with many fast-growing startups as the firm’s commercial customers. Moreover, he added that it is an exciting time to grow and develop the company’s market-defining product.
Devtron offers a software delivery platform for Kubernete, an open-source system for automating scaling, deployment, and management of software applications. The platform encompasses application management, cluster provisioning, and security, among other software functionality.
In a statement, the company stated that the companies using its platform had reduced their Kubernetes adaptation from a year to months. Often, companies have taken up Kubernetes within 15 days.
Moreover, post-adoption companies have experienced a five-fold improvement in their deployment speed, with up to a 90 per cent reduction in their change failure rate and a 70 per cent reduction in the meantime to recovery.
