Detect Technologies has announced an agreement with Vedanta to deploy T-Pulse software. T-Pulse is the former’s internationally deployed AI-based workplace safety software. This Deep Learning based software provides a centralised and scalable technology stack designed for plug-and-play deployment. It, among other things, provides risk minimisation and mitigation through actionable insights.
Mumbai-based Vedanta Resources Limited is a globally diversified mining company. It is one of the top producers of major commodities, including iron ore, steel, zinc-lead-silver, copper, aluminium, oil, gas etc. The group employs more than 65,000 people, primarily in India, Africa and Australia.
Managing EHS (Environment, Health and Safety) for such a large organisation is a major task. To attain its Goal Zero commitment, Vedanta has started exploring AI-based solutions to bring efficiency.
T-Pulse was first implemented across various industries of Vedanta on an experimental basis. After assessments, it was finally given the mandate to implement its solution across all Vedanta sites. Ever since it is deployed, the visibility of workplace risks has increased, leading to early identification of ESH non-compliances.
According to Vedanta Group CEO Sunil Duggal, “This partnership will further augment Vedanta’s capabilities on technology-led safety enablement. Detect Technologies’ AI solutions will assist us in enhancing our digital safety monitoring across all business units.”
