DCM Shriram to invest Rs.838 crore for expansion of its sugar and chemical business.
At present, the company is implementing projects with investments of Rs.350 crore for setting up of a distillery and aluminium chloride units, apart from expansion of its chlor-alkali unit.
DCM Shriram in its quarterly report stated that, it has received approval from its board for additional investment of Rs.838 crore for expansion projects.
These expansion will be commissioned in the second quarter of the next fiscal. Further, out of Rs.838 crore, Rs 500 crore is estimated to be invested for expansion of its DSCL Sugar Hariawan unit.
