The state-owned Oil Marketing Companies (OMC) has reduced the price of 19 kg commercial LPG cylinders by Rs 83.5 per unit. The last price drop was on May 31.
Commercial LPG cylinders were sold at Rs 1,773 in Delhi on Thursday, down from Rs 1,856.50. A cylinder in Mumbai is priced at Rs 1,725 in Mumbai, compared to Rs 1,808.50 earlier.
Prices remain above February levels. OMC hiked prices by Rs 350.50 per unit on March 1. There is no change in domestic LPG cylinders. The last price hike was Rs 50 per unit on March 1.
Hardeep Singh Puri, Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas, told the Lok Sabha in February that domestic LPG could be sold at “economical prices” if international fuel prices fell.
