Coca-Cola’s bottling arm in India, Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Gujarat government for a significant investment of Rs 3,000 Crore.
As a part of the MoU, Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages will establish a modern facility for Juice and Aerated Beverages in Rajkot, Gujarat, which is set to be commissioned in 2026.
This new facility, along with the company’s existing facilities in Sanand and Goblej, will create a strong presence in Gujarat. This project will increase the company’s workforce in the state to over 1,500 employees.
Moreover, Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages has around 285 distributors and over 224,000 retailers in Gujarat.
Himanshu Priyadarshi, Chief Public Affairs, Communications, and Sustainability Officer at Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages, said, “It is not only about scaling our business operations but also about deepening our roots in a state that has been a key market and a source of inspiration for innovation. We foresee this project as a catalyst for regional development, bringing in new opportunities for local talent and reinforcing our commitment to Gujarat’s economic and social progress.”
The investment in Gujarat will establish a strong industrial presence that will promote substantial economic and social development in the area. The Government of Gujarat has also pledged its full support to assist the company in acquiring all 285 distributors and over 224,000 retailers in Gujarat.
