Coal India has received approval from its board, to increase prices of non-coking coal for both power and non-power consumers, with immediate effect.
The company in a regulatory filing stated that, due to this revision Coal India will earn an incremental revenue of Rs.1,956 crore for the remaining period of the fiscal year 2017-18, and the total revenue will be Rs.6,421 crore.
Further, the filing stated, the price rise will be applicable to “all subsidiaries of Coal India, including NEC for regulated and non-regulated sectors.”
