Mohit Gupta, the co-founder of Zomato, has resigned; he has updated his post. He joined the company four-and-a-half years ago and was promoted as a co-founder in 2020 from the CEO position of its food delivery business.

“I am deciding to move on from Zomato to seek the other unknown adventures that life holds for me,” Gupta said.

Zomato stated that Mohit Gupta was not designated as KMP under the Companies Act 2013. This online food delivery company has connected with customers, delivery partners and restaurant partners. The user is to search and discover restaurants, upload photos, read and write customer-generated reviews and view, order food delivery, make payments while dining out at restaurants and book a table.

On a consolidated basis, the net loss of Rs 250.80 crore in the second quarter of FY23 was compared with a net loss of Rs 429.60 crore in the second quarter of FY22. Revenue from operations stood at Rs 1661.30 crore in the second quarter of FY23, going up 62.2 per cent from Rs 1024.20 crore reported in the second quarter of FY22.

On the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), the stocks shed 0.89 per cent to end at Rs 67.15.
