Cloudtail has begun moving its inventory and business to other sellers on the e-commerce marketplace ahead of its closure. Retailers who supply to Cloudtail across categories like electronics, health and personal care and smartphones are being sent new contracts to transfer the business to new and existing seller entities on Amazon India.

The electronics business of Cloudtail is transferred to VRP Telematics, while its health and personal care business is moved to Rocket Kommerce. Amazon had decided to shut down on Cloudtail after the approval from the Competition Commission of India (CCI) on Amazon’s bid to acquire 100 per cent in Cloudtail parent Prione Business Services. Amazon is now acquiring Catamaran Ventures’ 76 per cent stake in Prione.
