The Competition Commission of India has dismissed the allegations that Vodafone India has abused its dominant position by imposing discriminatory charges for international roaming services.
The watchdog has rejected the complaint after finding that the company is not a dominant position and there is enough competition in the relevant market.
An allegation had been made by a complainant that the company charged exorbitant price for international mobile data services on roaming basis during his travel to Canada.
The Competition Commission of India (CCI) has said in recent order that the relevant market in the instant case appears to be competitive and customers therein have chaices.
It further said that the players are comparable with each other in terms of size, resources and expertise.
