McLaren Automotive, a British luxury carmaker, reported Monday that it is ready to enter the Indian market this year. The company mentioned that it would be opening its first dealership in Mumbai in October.
With this, the Indian market would become the 41st global territory of the company. The supercar manufacturer further said that it will offer the breadth of its model range to Indian customers, which includes the Everyday McLaren GT and the marque’s first ever high-performance hybrid Artura.
Paul Harris, MD (APAC and China) of McLaren Automotive, stated that India remains an important market in the Asia Pacific region. McLaren’s first outlet in Mumbai will offer sales, aftersales and servicing on the complete range of McLaren models.
Founded by Ronald Dennis in 1985, McLaren sells a wide range of supercars. These cars are hand-built at a UK-based facility. In July 2017, McLaren Automotive became a wholly owned subsidiary of the wider McLaren Group. Some luxury cars are McLaren 720S, McLaren GT, McLaren Solus GT etc.
