“I will request to continue the commitments we made of accommodating air support, supplying their forces with food and equipment, and paying all their salaries. But they have got to fight. They have overcome the Taliban,” Biden said.

White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki told reporters the US went to Afghanistan to deliver justice to those who hit them on September 11, to interrupt the terrorists attempting to use Afghanistan as a shelter to attack the United States. “We have provided a great deal and assistance to the Afghan National Security Defence Forces and also offered a good amount of funding in the FY 2022 budget of $3.3 billion for the Afghan Security Forces,” she said.
