US President Joe Biden and his National Security Advisor (NSA) Jack Sullivan will meet NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg at the White House on Thursday, White House press secretary Karin Jean-Pierre said.

After a meeting with US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken on Wednesday, Stoltenberg told reporters that he would hold meetings in Brussels with senior officials from Sweden, Finland and Turkey in the coming days to discuss Turkey’s opposition to Sweden and Finland joining the defence alliance.

The leaders’ meeting, planned for a few days, is primarily intended to signal Putin’s resolve while ensuring that NATO allies are working on additional measures against Moscow and preparing for situations that could draw them deeper into the conflict.
