Bharat Forge Hits 52-Week High as Arm Secures Rs 287.5 Crore Contract

Class 8 truck orders in North America surged to a 10-month high of 30,000 units in September.

Bharat Forge Shares hit a 52-week high of Rs 1,076 on NSE during the intraday session of 29 August after the company announced that its arm had secured a contract worth Rs 287.5 crore.

Kalyani Rafael Advanced Systems, the company’s arm, has secured a contract worth Rs 287.5 crore from the Ministry of Defence for the supply of Missile Systems.

Kalyani Rafael Advanced Systems Ltd is a Joint venture between Kalyani Strategic Systems Ltd and Rafael Advanced Systems Ltd of Israel.

The company said the order has to be fulfilled over the next 12 months.

Earlier this month, Kalyani Strategic Systems bagged two export orders for around Rs 850 crore from friendly countries for the supply of components and armoured vehicle chassis. The said order is to be executed over an 18-month time frame.

In the last 30 days, the stock of Bharat Forge has gained 15%, and in the last 6 months, the shares have gained 30%.

At 3:30 pm, the shares of Bharat Forge were trading at Rs 1,071 or 2.08% above its previous close on NSE.
