The Indian Army has signed an agreement with Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL) to manufacture and supply Konkurs – M, anti-tank guided missiles. The contract is worth Rs 3,131.82 Crores and was signed on 2nd February and will be completed in the next three years. Konkurs – M is an anti-tank guided missile used to destroy armoured vehicles equipped with Explosive Reactive Armour. The missile can be launched from a BMP-II tank or ground launcher. It ranges from 75 to 4,000 metres with a flight time of 19 secs.

BDL manufactures it under a license agreement with a Russian Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM). Other than manufacturing and supply for India, BDL has also offered to export Konkurs-M to other foreign countries that have friendly relations with the country. BDL and the Indian Army’s partnership are integral parts of the Atmanirbhar Bharat mission.
