Bajaj Finance’s market capitalisation has surpassed HDFC, India’s largest home loan provider. The market capitalisation of Bajaj Finance is currently at Rs 4.32 lakh crore, and HDFC is at Rs 4.28 lakh crore.
Shares of Bajaj Finance jumped nearly 10% on Thursday, a day after the non-banking financial company (NBFC) posted a record net profit of Rs 2,596 crore for the June quarter on the back of strong loan growth and strong revenue.
On Friday, the stock gained another percentage point at publishing.
With the rise in share, Bajaj Finance is now the eighth most valuable company after reporting this healthy mix, ahead of HDFC, which is ninth.
