Shares of Bajaj Auto were trading in the red and hit an intraday low of Rs 5,010.05 on 3 October after the company reported a 1% decline in total sales for September 2023.
The automaker reported a 1% YoY decline in its total sales at 3,92,558 units in September 2023, compared to 3,94,747 units recorded in September 2022.
The company’s total two-wheeler sales saw a 6% YoY decline at 3,27,712 units compared to 3,48,355 units reported in September of the previous year.
On the domestic front, the two-wheeler sales saw a 9% YoY decline at 2,02,510 units against the 2,22,912 units sold recorded in September 2022.
On the international front, the two-wheeler exports were marginally down at 1,25,202 units last month as against 1,25,443 units in September 2022.
However, the commercial vehicle sales of the company saw a 40% YoY increase at 64,846 units in September 2023 from 46,392 units recorded in the corresponding month a year ago.
