Bajaj Auto Limited on Thursday reported that its total vehicle sales in September have increased by 10 per cent to 4,41,306 units compared to 4,02,035 units in the same month of 2019.
The automaker in a regulatory filing said that its total two-wheeler sales stood at 4,04,851 units in September, as compared to 3,36,730 units in the same month previous year.
However, the company’s total commercial vehicles sales in the previous month declined by 44 per cent to 36,455 units compared to 65,305 vehicles that were sold in September 2019, it said.
Its total domestic sales had an increment of 6 per cent to 2,28,731 units compared to 2,15,501 units in the September month of last year. Its exports also increased by 14 per cent to 2,12,575 units as compared with 1,86,534 units in the same month a year ago.
The Pune-based automaker, Bajaj Auto Ltd. is a part of the Bajaj Group and was founded in 1940 by Jamnalal Bajaj. Bajaj Auto is an Indian multinational that manufactures two-wheeler and three-wheeler such as motorcycles, scooters and auto rickshaws.
