Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal held a meeting to discuss the increase in coronavirus cases due to Omicron and directed officials to prepare to tackle any wave. The meeting was attended by Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, Health Minister Satyendar Jain, Revenue Minister Kailash Gahlot and other senior officials.
The chief minister said that although the number of cases is currently low, all the preparations like the stock of medicines, oxygen tankers, oximeters and other necessities should be prepared within 24 hours. It was highlighted that the symptoms were mild in the fresh wave of infections, and hospitalisation was not required in most cases, so preparations for people getting treated in home isolation should be prioritised.
