This is the company's first greenfield solar project that they acquired through the auction route.

Apraava Energy, on 11 January, announced that they had secured a 250-megawatt solar energy project from the state-owned NHPC Ltd.

In its regulatory filing, the company said that they have received the order through the e-reverse auction mechanism at a walk-out tariff of Rs 2.53 per kilowatt hour, which they have to execute in a period of 24 months.

This is the company’s first greenfield solar project that they acquired through the auction route.

The company has also signed a power purchase agreement with NHPC for a period of 25 years from the date of commissioning.

As a part of the order, the company will be responsible for designing, constructing and operating the project for the PPA tenure.

The company has an operational portfolio of renewable energy that includes solar and wind energy, and it stands at 1,312.6 megawatts. These projects spread across Gujarat, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, and Gujarat.
