Apple to Upsurge App Store Prices from Europe to Asia

Earlier this month, Apple raised prices in its Mac, iPhone, and iPad ranges, accounting for the currency disparity.

Apple Inc. disclosed the major increases in its price tiers and in-app purchases from Europe to Asia to protect its margins as the major currencies tumble against the US dollar. The customers in other nations that use the Euro and those in Sweden, Japan, South Korea, Chile, Egypt, Malaysia, Pakistan, and Vietnam would witness price hikes as early as October 5; the company informed the developers.

Apple says that the Vietnam move also reflects the new local regulations around tax collection without enlarging why it’s raising prices elsewhere. In Japan, prices rise by 30%, a significant hike following the Yen’s dramatic weakening this year. Earlier this month, Apple raised prices in its Mac, iPhone, and iPad ranges, accounting for the currency disparity. The Euro has suffered a similar fate, trading near uniformity against the US dollar, thus showing signs of further weakness ahead.


An independent study shows that app developers have raised prices over the past year. In July 2021, the average price of in-app purchases rose 40%, the consultancy Apptopia estimated. The company said that Apple’s new framework allows developers to keep subscribers of any subscription services offered at current price levels.

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Tim Cook admitted in an interview with Bloomberg Television’s Emily Chang that the company was allocating with “some softness” and a slower economy. Apple has developed more cautious as it provokes a sputtering economy. Med reports that the iPhone makers plan for slow hiring and spending for some teams in 2023ts.
