Anti-drone guns were deployed around the region between the Punjab border and Jammu. Border Security Force regulates the task. At least 200 drones have been seen hovering along the border with neighbouring-country Pakistan in the past two years.

Last year 97 drones were sighted, 64 were spotted in Punjab, and 31 in the Jammu region. Two drones were spotted hovering along the Line of Control in the Jammu sector. The BSF guards 198 km of the 553-km-long international border and LOC with Pakistan.
