Amazon will appoint multiple independent sellers to take charge of the business from Cloudtail. The move came after Amazon said the joint venture that owns Cloudtail would be discontinued and will be ceased from May 2022.
Amazon had reached some huge brands to ask if they can hire authorised sellers.

However, brands hesitated to arrange as offline traders might face issues with Amazon’s discounts on credit or debit card purchases. Amazon has over 850,000 growing sellers across the country, a spokesperson said. “Since January 2020, above 3 lakh new sellers have registered with Amazon. We are delighted to see this growth as more sellers choose Amazon to get benefit from the e-commerce opportunity,” the spokesperson added.
