As the incomes of the subsidiary support the adhesion at Adani Airports in Tier-I cities, the Adani group plans to invest in fleets of passenger vehicles listed on ride-hailing vehicles like Uber.
There have been debates between Uber and Adani Group, which works in seven national airports. Media reported that the two companies newly announced a partnership under which Adani Airports now has steadfast Uber pick-up zones at five out of seven airports. “This is a part of the Adani Group’s policy to build ancillary contributions supporting the airport’s commercial growth,” it added. Adani Group functions at airports in Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Lucknow, Jaipur, Thiruvananthapuram, Guwahati and Mangalore.
In addition to its airport business, the Ahmedabad-based group has been participating in other companies. The company employed a contract with India’s largest autonomous aircraft maintenance, repair, and overhaul company, AirWorks, valued at Rs 400 crore.
The group assimilated a 74% stake in Flemingo Travel Retail and its Mumbai Travel Retail unit 2021, which function duty-free openings at major Indian airports. Cleartrip, and connected travel activity owned by Flipkart, was learned by the Adani Group in October last year. Uber and Ola have been feeling supply problems due to drivers not recurring to their platforms in full numbers following the pandemic.
