Adani Green Energy Ltd. (AGEL) has signed a contract with Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) to supply 4,667 MW of renewable energy. This is the world’s most significant green power purchase agreement (PPA), according to the company statement.

“This is another step in our journey to allow India’s dual objective to accelerate India’s renewable energy sector and promote local manufacturing under the Aatmanirbhar Bharat programme, Gautam Adani, Chairman of Adani Group, said. So far, AGEL has signed PPAs with SECI for a generation capacity of 6,000 MW. AGEL desires to close the balance 2000 MW PPA in the next 2 to 3 months.
