Shares of Adani Green Energy Ltd soared 7% on Wednesday, 15 January, after the company’s step-down subsidiary Adani Renewable Energy Forty Eight announced commissioning a 57.2 megawatt (MW) wind power component in Gujarat.
In its regulatory filing, the company said, “Adani Renewable Energy Forty Eight Limited, a step-down subsidiary of Adani Green Energy Limited (“AGEL”) has commissioned a 57.2 MW wind power component of its wind-solar hybrid project at Khavda, Gujarat.”
With the commissioning of this plant, Adani Green Energy’s total operational renewable energy capacity has risen to 11,666.1 MW.
The filing further stated: Following the necessary clearances, the decision to operationalize the plant was made at 2:51 pm on 14 January 2025, with power generation commencing on 15 January 2025.
