Adani Enterprises Ltd.on Thursday 11 June announced the signing of a partnership agreement between Adani Defence & Aerospace and the United Arab Emirates-based EDGE Group.
In its regulatory filing, the company said, “The agreement aims to establish a global platform leveraging the defence and aerospace capabilities of both companies to bring together their respective product portfolios and cater to the requirements of global and local customers.”
The agreement encompasses assessing collaboration across EDGE’s and Adani’s primary product areas. This includes missiles and weapons for airborne, surface, and infantry applications, ammunition, air defence products, unmanned aerial systems, loitering munitions, counter-drone systems, unmanned ground vehicles, as well as electronic warfare and cyber technologies, according to the statement.
The partnership would also reportedly look into establishing R&D centres in the United Arab Emirates and India in addition to production, maintenance, and development facilities for defence and aerospace products, in order to meet the demands of the two captive markets as well as those in Southeast Asia and other international markets.
