On Tuesday, IT services and consulting firm Accenture said it would acquire Bengaluru-based industrial artificial intelligence firm Flutura. The deal size was not revealed.

Flutura has around 110 professionals with expertise in industrial data science services for manufacturers and other asset-intensive businesses.

“Flutura will reinforce Accenture’s industrial AI services to upsurge the performance of plants, supply chains, and refineries while also allowing clients to achieve their net-zero goals faster,” Accenture mentioned in a statement.
Ireland-based Accenture brings Flutura’s competencies to clients in the energy, chemicals, metals, mining, and pharmaceutical industries.

“Flutura democratises AI for engineers. This acquisition will influence industrial AI-led transformation for our clients internationally and mainly in Australia, South-East Asia, Africa, Japan, India, Latin America, and the Middle East,” said Senthil Ramani, senior managing director (MD) and Accenture Applied Intelligence lead for Growth Markets.
In the previous year, Accenture acquired ALBERT, a Data Science Company in Japan.

Accenture’s recent AI acquisitions comprise Analytics8 in Australia, Bridgei2i, Sentelis in France, Byte Prophecy in India, Pragsis Bidoop in Spain, Mudano in the UK, and Clarity Insights in the United States.
