Temasek acquires 5% stake in AU Bank

Temasek, which is Singapore government owned investment company has bought 4.8% stake in AU Small Finance Bank, with an investment of Rs.1,000 crore.

Camas Investments Pte Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Temasek, will make an investment in the AU Small Finance Bank via a preferential allotment of shares and convertible warrants.

Sanjay Agarwal, MD & CEO of AU Bank stated, “This capital raise will strengthen our presence in both the digital and the physical marketplace.” From an asset size of USD 3.5 billion, we plan to grow to a size of USD 10 billion by 2022.
