Wholesale inflation grew 3.18% in April, making it a 4-month high.
WPI grew at 2.47% in March and 3.85% in April 2017. Primary articles, grew 1.41% in April from 1.03% a year ago and 0.24% in March. Prices of vegetables fell 0.89%, as against a fall of 0.81% in April 2017. Prices of non-food articles fell 1.81% in April, compared with (-)0.08% a year ago.
Furthermore, prices of pulses continued to come down at (-)22.46% in April and Fuel and power inflation, grew at 7.85% in April from 4.70% in March, and 17.11% a year ago.
