Ambuja Cements, has posted a standalone net profit growth of 88.8% YoY at Rs.338 crore, for the quarter ended December 31,2017. Profit for the corresponding quarter, last year was at Rs.179 crore.
The standalone revenue from operations increased 21.9% to Rs.2,712.6 crore in Q4, as against Rs.2,224.5 crore in the same quarter, last year. Cement sales volume reported a 17.4% increase at 5.87 million tonnes for quarter ended December 2017, while in the year ago quarter it was at 5 million tonnes.
Tax expenses for the quarter were up to Rs.85.9 crore from Rs.26.2 crore in the same quarter, last year. Furthermore, the company’s board of directors has recommended a final dividend of Rs.2 per share.
