Essar Bulk Terminal (EBTL) will be expanding its bulk cargo handling capacity at Hazira Port to 50 million metric tonne per annum from existing 30 MMTPA by December at an investment of Rs 800 crore.
EBTL is Essar Ports special purpose vehicle.
Rajiv Agarwal, Essar Ports Chief Executive Officer has said that the company is investing Rs 800 crore to add 20 MMPTA at its Hazira Port in Surat to its existing 30 MMPTA capacity.
He further said that the expansion work has been going on since the last one-and-half years and with this the total investment by the company in Hazira Port has gone up to Rs 3,250 crore.
