The GIFT Nifty futures, which is an early indicator of the Nifty50 index, was trading 0.66% higher by 154 points at 23,416, indicating that the domestic benchmark indices are likely to make a positive start on Thursday.
On Wednesday, 15 January, Domestic benchmark indices S&P BSE Sensex gained by 0.29% and settled at 76,724.08, while the Nifty50 traded gained 0.16%, settling at 23,213.20.

Quarterly Results Today: Alok Industries, Mudra Financial Services, Khaitan Chemicals Fertilizers, Axis Bank, DB Corp, LTIMindtree, Mastek, Metro Brands, Hatsun Agro Products, Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy, Havells India, Infosys, Waaree Renewable Technologies, and Reliance Industries are some of the prominent companies set to announce their quarterly earnings for October-December.
Adani Green Energy: The company reported a 37% year-on-year increase in operational capacity to 11,609 megawatts (MW). The company has expanded its footprint with greenfield additions of 2,693 MW in solar and 438 MW in wind power plants across Gujarat and Rajasthan.
Exide Industries: The company has made an investment of Rs 149.99 crore in its arm, Exide Energy Solutions Limited, taking its total investment to Rs 3,302.23 crore. This investment is aimed towards strengthening its position in the EV battery market.
Rail Vikas Nigam: The company has announced securing a major contract worth Rs 3,622 crore from Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited for the creation, upgradation, and management of the Middle Mile network of BharatNet.
Rashi Peripherals: The company has acquired a 70% stake in Satcom Infotech, aimed at fortifying the company’s position in the ICT sector to enhance its portfolio and partnerships in the growing cybersecurity market.
Happiest Minds Technologies: The company has announced a partnership with Coca-Cola Beverages Vietnam to develop generative AI solutions aimed at improving operational efficiency and productivity.
Azad Engineering: The company has signed a long-term supply agreement with GE Vernova International LLC, USA, to supply highly engineered, complex rotating and stationary airfoils for advanced gas turbine engines to meet the global demand in the power generation industry.
Swiggy: The company has formed a new wholly-owned subsidiary, Swiggy Sports, with the aim of promoting sports and recreational activities. The formation of the subsidiary has also been approved by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs.
GAIL: The company has announced a settlement with SEFE Marketing & Trading Singapore Pte Ltd in a pending arbitration case. The part of this settlement agreement includes a payment of $285 million by SEFE to the company.
Punjab and Sind Bank: In its quarterly earnings for October-December, the company reported a two-fold increase in net profit to Rs 282 crore, while the total income grew by 14.58% to Rs 3,269 crore compared to Rs 2,853 crore during the same quarter last year.
