The GIFT Nifty futures, which is an early indicator of the Nifty50 index, was trading 0.10% higher by 24 points at 23,353, indicating that the domestic benchmark indices are likely to make a positive start on Monday.
On Friday, 10 January, Domestic benchmark indices S&P BSE Sensex slipped 241 points or 0.31% and settled at 77,378.91 while the Nifty50 traded slumped 95 points or 0.40%, settling at 23,431.50.

Macrotech Developers: The company has announced that it will acquire a 20-acre land parcel in Bengaluru to develop housing projects worth Rs 2,800 crore as a part of its expansion plan.
Vodafone Idea: The company has sold its entire stake in Indus Towers, selling 7.92 crore shares representing a 3% stake for a total consideration of Rs 2,800 crore. The company has also used Rs 890 crore from this sale to clear its lender dues.
Avenue Supermarts: Neville Noronha, the Chief Executive Officer of the company for over two decades, has announced his plans to leave the company. In its quarterly earnings for October-December, the company reported a 4.79% year-on-year increase in net profit to Rs 723.72 crore from Rs 690.61 crore reported in the same quarter last year.
Biocon: The company’s subsidiary, Biocon Biologics’ unit in Malaysia, has received a “Voluntary Action Indicated” (VAI) from the US Food and Drug Administration (USFDA).
Waaree Energies: The company has announced their plans to acquire Enel Green Power India for Rs 792 crore, which specialises in renewable energy generation.
Interarch Building: The company has announced receiving orders worth Rs 221 crore in the semiconductor and lithium-ion battery business vertical from Tata Projects Ltd, highlighting the company’s entry into India’s technology landscape.
Varroc Engineering: The company has received approval from the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) to merge Varroc Polymers with the company.
JSW Energy: The company has announced acquiring SPversus and 125 megawatt (MW) renewable assets of Hetero Group for a total consideration of Rs 630 crore.
NLC India: The company has announced the signing of a joint venture (JV) with Assam Power Distribution Company Limited to develop solar power projects in Assam.
