The GIFT Nifty futures, which is an early indicator of the Nifty50 index, was trading 0.31% lower by 77.50 points at 24,557, indicating that the domestic benchmark indices are likely to make a negative start on Friday.
On Thursday, 12 December, Domestic benchmark indices S&P BSE Sensex slumped 236 points or 0.29% to end at 81,290 while the Nifty50 traded 93 points lower or 0.38% and settled at 24,548.

Tata Consultancy Services: TCS has announced the signing of a five-year contract with Telenor Denmark (TnDK) to provide ITIS-managed services. The contract entails managing TnDK’s IT infrastructure through the company’s delivery centre in Europe.
Zomato: The company has received a GST demand order of Rs 401.7 crore for non-payment of tax on delivery charges between 29 October 2019 and 31 March 2022. With the interest and penalty component of a similar amount, the total tax demand is Rs 803.4 crore.
Hindustan Aeronautics: The company has announced that it is securing a contract from the Ministry of Defence (MoD) to procure 12 Su-30MKI aircraft. The contract is valued at Rs 13,500 crore, and the aircraft will feature 62.6% homegrown content, which was achieved through the indigenisation of numerous components manufactured by the Indian defence industry.
Tata Motors: The company has announced a price hike of around 2% across its entire range of trucks and buses, which will take effect from 1 January 2025. The company, in a statement, said, “The price increase is to offset the rise in input costs.”
Ashok Leyland: The company has announced that it has secured an order from the Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation to supply 1,475 BSVI diesel passenger bus chassis for a total contract value of Rs 345.58 crore.
NBCC: The company has been appointed as a project management consultant to finish 16 real estate projects of Supertech Ltd for a total cost of around Rs 9,500 crore.
Titan: The company’s luxury brand Zoya is looking to open 20 stores in the next three to four years. Zoya’s jewellery division, Ajoy Chawla, said that they have also launched a Zoya boutique in Kolkata, entering the East India market.
