Zen Tech Shares Gain 2% on Acquiring Patent for T-90 CGS

The simulator offers realistic AI-enabled target responses along with immersive and interactive training experiences.

Shares of Zen Technologies Ltd increased by over 2% after the firm announced that it had obtained an Indian patent for its T90 Containerized Crew Gunnery Simulator.

Zen Technologies stated in a stock exchange filing that this is the company’s tenth patent in the fiscal year 2024–2025 and its twentieth in the calendar year 2024.

Zen Technologies stated that the T90 Containerised Crew Gunnery Simulator (T90 CGS) is a state-of-the-art technology intended to improve the gunnery competence of the T-90 tank commander and gunner, two crucial positions essential to an armoured regiment’s combat readiness.

The simulator offers realistic AI-enabled target responses along with immersive and interactive training experiences by simulating operational scenarios and combat circumstances.

The T90 CGS has two completely functional stations for the commander and gunner, replete with real controls and electronics, simulating the interior of a T-90 tank turret. In order to provide a realistic training experience, the system includes a motion platform with three degrees of freedom that replicates firing dynamics.

Additionally, it provides a high level of customization, enabling instructors to create training situations that range from time-sensitive crew cooperation to individual competence exercises.

The T90 CGS is intended for global markets in addition to the Indian Armed Forces. It provides international armies with a flexible, superior training option that meets a range of operational requirements.

In the second quarter of the current fiscal year, Zen Technologies, situated in Hyderabad, claimed a multi-fold increase in their net profit, which was Rs 62.6 crore, compared to Rs 15.3 crore during the same period last year. Over the same time period, revenue increased 263% to Rs 241.8 crore from Rs 66.5 crore.

The company had Rs 956.74 crore in its order book as of 30 September 2024.

The business declared last month that the Ministry of Defense had awarded them an annual maintenance contract (AMC). The contract was revealed in a stock exchange filing and was valued at Rs 46 crore (including GST).

At 2:48 pm, the shares of Zen Technologies were trading 0.73% higher at Rs 1,826 on NSE.
