Truecaller CEO Alan Mamedi and Chief Strategy Officer Nami Zarringhalam are transitioning from operational roles to concentrating on the app’s long-term strategy.
Truecaller announced Rishit Jhunjhunwala as the new Group CEO, with co-founders Alan Mamedi and Nami Zarringhalam stepping back from operational roles.
At yesterday’s board meeting, Mamedi and Zarringhalam stated they would serve as strategic advisors until 30th June 2025, focusing on Truecaller’s long-term strategy.
The co-founders expressed confidence in Jhunjhunwala, highlighting the importance of leadership that aligns with Truecaller’s core values for future growth.
Rishit Jhunjhunwala will take over as Group CEO on 9th January. Previously, he served as Truecaller’s Chief Product Officer and Managing Director for India. Since joining in 2015, he has led product teams and managed revenue streams, including advertising and Truecaller for Business.
Jhunjhunwala expressed confidence in continuing the co-founders’ mission, emphasising the importance of safer, more secure communication.
Last year, Mamedi shared Truecaller’s goal to double its Indian user base to 400-500 million by 2026, supported by the growing smartphone market. In October 2023, Truecaller expanded its services by acquiring TrustCheckr, a fraud detection provider.
