The GIFT Nifty futures, an early indicator of the Nifty50 index, were trading down by 68 points or 0.28% at 24,306, indicating that the domestic benchmark indices are likely to make a negative start on Thursday.

On Wednesday, 30 October, Domestic benchmark indices S&P BSE Sensex slumped 427 points or 0.53% to end at 79,942 while the Nifty50 traded 126 points lower or 0.52% and settled at 24,341.

Quarterly Results Today: Narayana Hrudayalaya Ltd., Sudarshan Pharma Industries, BF Utilities Ltd, Tata Investments Corporation Ltd, and Sonalis Consumer Products are some of the prominent companies that are set to release their quarterly earnings for July-September.

Life Insurance Corporation of India: The company has been slapped with a Rs 65 crore demand notice for its short payment of Goods and Services Tax (GST) for assessment year 2017-18, and a penalty of Rs 6.5 crore.

Tata Power: The company’s board has approved an investment of Rs 5,666 crore for setting up a 1,000-megawatt (MW) pumped storage hydro project built over 44 months.

Yatharth Hospital: The company has announced an agreement to acquire a 60% stake in MGS Infotech Research and Solutions for an enterprise value of Rs 152 crore.

Jupiter Wagons: The subsidiary of the company, Jupiter Electric Mobility has announced acquiring Log9’s Railway and electric truck battery divisions.

Adani Green: The company has announced singing power purchase agreements with Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company to supply 5 gigawatt (GW) of solar power.

Sonata Software: The company has announced signing a contract with a Fortune 50 American multinational technology conglomerate for global retail operations.

Biocon: The US Food and Drug Administration has classified the company’s drug substance facility in Bengaluru as voluntary action indicated (VAI).

Zydus Wellness: The company’s Board of Directors have approved the acquisition of Naturell (India) for a total consideration of Rs 390 crore via signing a share purchase agreement with the promoter and other shareholders of Naturell.

Dabur: The company has announced acquiring Sesa Care for a total consideration of Rs 315-325 crore, which will help the company expand in the Rs 900 crore ayurvedic hair oil market.
