Ahluwalia Contracts Secures Rs 1,095 Crore Order from DLF City Centre; Shares Drop 1.5%

Shares of Ahluwalia Contracts (India) Ltd. dropped by 1.5% after reaching a day’s high of Rs 1,124.70 on 11th October, despite the firm announcing the receipt of an order from DLF City Centre.

The total contract value is approximately Rs 1,095 crore, excluding GST and labour cess. According to the company’s exchange filing, the project is expected to be completed within 21 months.

This order pertains to civil and composite steel structural construction, including rough finishing works for Blocks 5, 6, and 7 at Downtown, Phase-2, Sector-25A, Gurugram.

Before this, on 28th August, the company bagged an order worth Rs 350.3 crore from Bharat Aluminium Company to construct a housing complex in Chhattisgarh.

The company will design and build 756 2 BHK apartments on an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) basis at BALCO, Kobra, in Chhattisgarh.

Earlier in July, the company secured an order worth Rs 893.48 crore from the Airports Authority of India to construct a new terminal building and related works on an EPC model.

The stock has surged nearly 39% so far in 2024. Currently, the firm’s market capitalisation stands at around Rs 7,308 crore.

At 2:30 PM, the shares of Ahluwalia Contracts were trading 1.61% lower at Rs 1,090.05 on NSE.
