Foxconn is set to establish the largest Nvidia GB200 chip manufacturing facility, driven by increasing demand for Nvidia’s Blackwell platform. This project was highlighted by a senior executive during the company’s annual tech day in Taipei, marking a significant investment in cutting-edge chip production.

Senior vice president of Foxconn Benjamin Ting emphasised the importance of the collaboration with Nvidia. “We are constructing the largest GB200 production facility in the world,” he noted, though he could not disclose its location.

Ting highlighted how much demand there is for Nvidia’s Blackwell platform. Alongside Deepu Talla, vice president of AI and robotics at Nvidia, he said, “The demand is awfully huge.”

Attending the event, the year before was Jensen Huang, CEO of Nvidia. Nonetheless, Talla stated that Huang had wanted to attend this year but was unable to do so.

Apple’s primary iPhone assembler is Foxconn, which is widely recognised as the largest contract electronics manufacturer. Being a producer of servers in addition to its other products, the company is currently enjoying the benefits of the growing artificial intelligence sector.
