Shares of Bharti Airtel Ltd. rose 1.5%, reaching a day’s high of Rs 1,670.00 on 7th October, after the firm announced a partnership between Airtel Business and Fortinet to launch ‘Airtel Secure Internet’ for online security solutions. Airtel Business is the B2B arm of Bharti Airtel.
Bharti Airtel, in a stock exchange filing, introduced ‘Airtel Secure Internet,’ a modern internet security solution providing a fully managed, strong defence against cyber threats.
This partnership with Fortinet aims to enhance security over Internet Lease Line (ILL) circuits by combining Airtel’s reliable internet connectivity with Fortinet’s next-generation firewall technology.
The company stated that the solution offers end-to-end protection through Airtel’s advanced Security Operations Centre (SOC) and Fortinet’s Security Orchestration, Automation, and Response (SOAR) platform, ensuring comprehensive management and defence against cyber threats.
Sharat Sinha, CEO of Airtel Business, stated that Airtel has pioneered providing Cyber Secured ILL in India. With the launch of ‘Airtel Secure Internet,’ they now offer a comprehensive, future-proof security solution that enhances enterprise security without high capital expenditure.
Airtel Secure Internet allows businesses to leverage Airtel’s pan-India connectivity, linking their headquarters, regional offices, data centres, and remote sites for seamless, secure internet access.
Bharti Airtel’s shares have surged by 64% so far in 2024. The company’s market capitalisation is around Rs 962,530 crore.
At 3:30 PM, the shares of Bharti Airtel closed 1.32% higher at Rs 1,662.60 on NSE.
