The startup Centricity, a company focused on technology-driven wealth management, has secured a seed funding round of USD 20 million. Leading the investment is Lightspeed, along with the participation of returning investors Burman Family Office and Shantanu Agarwal.

The funding round also attracted involvement from Primark VC, a venture capital fund based in Korea, and a group of well-known family offices and angel investors, including MS Dhoni Family Office, Aakash Chaudhry (former Aakash Institute), NB Ventures Family Office, Ritesh Agarwal (OYO), Vishal Dhupar (managing director, Nvidia), MMG Group Family Office, and Action Tesa Family Office, among others. With this funding, the company’s valuation has reached USD 125 million.

MS Dhoni Family Office expressed that Centricity’s OneDigital platform is committed to wealth management for a billion Indians and expanding financial product distribution, particularly in tier-II and tier-III towns and cities. 

Centricity intends to use the new capital to expand its operations. It plans to double its tech development team from 75 to over 150 specialists, focusing on innovations such as generative AI-led modules, insure-tech, and broking-tech platforms.

Through a “phygital” approach, Centricity aims to enable financial advisors to easily access and transact financial products while simplifying the understanding of financial portfolios. Centricity’s founder and CEO, Manu Awasthy, mentioned that within 15 months of starting operations, the startup’s scale had been larger and faster than that of any other wealth management company in India.

Shuvi Shrivastava, partner and advisor at Lightspeed, stated that the platform shows significant promise by providing investors with democratised access to all financial products and addressing the largely underserved Indian wealth market.

Saket Burman from Burman Family Office added that while others still rely on basic tools, Centricity offers a cutting-edge solution.
