The share price of GE T&D India Ltd surged almost 5% on 12 September after the company announced securing multiple orders worth 155 million Euros.

In its regulatory filing, the company said that Grid Solutions SAS, located in France, and GRID SOLUTIONS Middle East FZE, located in Dubai, have placed orders for the delivery and supervision of high-voltage products.

The 55 million Euro order from Grid Solutions SAS is scheduled to be executed over the course of five years. The company said that GRID SOLUTIONS Middle East FZE’s order, which has a value of 100 million euros, will be executed by 2029.

GE T&D India is one of the biggest companies in the electricity transmission and distribution industry. The company has six manufacturing facilities that produce a full range of transmission equipment up to Extra and ultra-high voltages (765 kV and higher), including air-insulated switchgear (AIS), locally manufactured power transformers, and gas-insulated switchgear (GIS). 

In order to provide effective transmission and distribution, GE T&D India also provides cutting-edge power electronics solutions, Smart Grid technologies, and the integration of renewable energies.

Due to increased income, GE T&D India recorded a net profit of Rs 134.5 crore for the June 2024 quarter of the financial year 2024–25 (Q1FY25). This is in contrast to Rs 28.2 crore during the same time frame in the preceding fiscal year.

At 12:36 pm, the shares of GE T&D India were trading 0.34% higher at Rs 1,727.95 on NSE.
