According to a report by US-based Global Finance magazine, RBI Governor Shaktikanta Das has been ranked as the top central banker for the second consecutive year.

RBI said in a post on ‘X’ that the Global Finance magazine has rated three central bank governors, including India’s Shaktikanta Das, ‘ A+’ for their performance in inflation control, economic growth, currency stability, and interest rate management.

The ratings are determined on a scale from A to F, with ‘A’ representing excellent performance and ‘F’ representing outright failure.

Denmark’s Christian Thomsen, India’s Shaktikanta Das, and Switzerland’s Thomas Jordan are the top-rated central bankers in the’ A+’ category.

In recent years, central bankers have been raising interest rates to combat inflation, which has led to a significant drop in inflation rates worldwide.
