Nazara Technologies, an esports and gaming firm based in Mumbai, is placed eighth among gaming acquirers worldwide, according to the most recent study by Drake Star Partners, the Global Gaming Survey for Q2 2024.

The Indian gaming company has succeeded significantly better than well-known firms such as Atari and MTG, which ranked ninth and tenth, respectively.

The CEO and founder of Nazara Technologies, Nitish Mittersain, expressed his excitement over reaching this milestone by saying, “This is extremely encouraging as Nazara is set for more international acquisitions in 2024. We are honoured to be recognized on the global stage. This ranking is not just a win for Nazara but for the entire Indian gaming community. Together, we are making India a global gaming giant to reckon with.”

Nitisih highlighted that this achievement is crucial for both the company and the Indian gaming industry, highlighting the country’s growing influence in the global gaming landscape. 

The goal of Nazara Technologies is to identify opportunities in the worldwide ad tech, gaming, and esports sectors.

The firm has a strong interest in established game IPs and studios, particularly those advancing in cutting-edge technologies such as virtual reality, Web3, and AI.

Prior to the end of the year, Nazara set aside $100 million for merger and acquisition (M&A). With this large investment, Nazara hopes to continue on its current growth trajectory and expand its global reach.

Nodwin Gaming, a subsidiary of the company, recently acquired ComicCon India and Freaks4U. It additionally purchased the intellectual property rights from Games24X7 belonging to Ultimate Teen Patti.

Kiddopia and Animal Jam, two of the most popular IPs in their respective markets, are also owned by Nazara.

Within the sports gaming industry, Nazara is the proprietor of the immensely popular World Cricket Championship (WCC) video game brands.
