Aereo, a startup that offers commercial drone services, has secured USD 15 million in funding from a Series B round. 360 ONE Asset led the funding and also included existing investors StartupXseed Ventures and Navam Capital. Aereo is Bengaluru-based.

This investment will help Aereo expand its drone-based solutions for managing valuable assets. Vipul Singh, Aereo’s co-founder and CEO, highlighted that with their drone technology and partnership with 360 ONE Asset, they aim to innovate in the USD 10 billion industry and establish a global presence.

Founded in 2013 at IIT Kanpur by Suhas Banshiwala and Vipul Singh, Aereo specialises in providing business intelligence solutions for managing large assets using drones and an AI-powered data analytics platform.

The company’s tailored solutions are designed for industries like mining, infrastructure, urban and rural development, and land records, resulting in a significant 400% revenue growth over the past two years.

Aereo is a technology partner for Coal India Limited’s Digicoal initiative, offering important business intelligence to improve productivity, efficiency, safety, and environmental compliance at some of the world’s largest coal mines.

Since 2019, Aereo has been working with Tata Steel to digitalise over 27 major mines and stockyards.

Additionally, the company has played a key role in mapping over 45,000 villages and covering more than 50,000 square kilometres of land for the Digital India Land Record Modernization Program (DILRMP).
