The solar solutions company Waaree Energies announced on Thursday that it will supply Statkraft India with 445 megawatts (MW) of solar modules.
In its regulatory filing, the company said that it will supply 445 MW of Waaree Energies’ 540/545 Wp dual glass bifacial modules to power single-location solar projects in Bikaner, Rajasthan.
The statement states that Waaree Energies hopes to meet India’s growing power needs, transform the nation’s renewable energy sector, and help the nation achieve net-zero status by way of this deal, which is scheduled for delivery between May and August 2024.
Hitesh Doshi, Chairman & Managing Director of Waaree Energies Ltd said, “This partnership with Statkraft India represents a pivotal step in our collective mission to contribute to India’s renewable energy transformation.”
According to Waaree, the installation of its bifacial solar modules will increase the area’s capacity for renewable energy.
