Stocks in Focus: IRB Infra, Mahindra and Mahindra, JSW Energy, and Others

The GIFT Nifty futures, an early indicator of the Nifty50 index, were trading 0.06% higher by 12.50 points at 22,406, indicating that the domestic benchmark indices are likely to make a muted start on Wednesday.  

On Tuesday, 7 May, Domestic benchmark indices S&P BSE Sensex shed 383.69 points, or 0.62%, to end at 73,511.85 while the Nifty50 traded 140.20 points, or 0.62% lower and settled at 22,302.50.

Here are some stocks that are likely to remain in focus on 8 May.

Quarterly Results Today: Hero MotoCorp, Bharat Forge, SKF India, Oil Engines, Westlife Food World, Godrej Agrovet, Larsen and Toubro, Tata Power, Canara Power, TVS Motor, Gujarat State Petronet, Piramal Enterprises, Kalpataru Projects International, Home First Finance, HG Infra Engineering, Balaji Amines, Kirloskar Oil Engines, Westlife Food world, Godrej Agrovet, and Vijaya Diagnostic Centre are some of the prominent companies that are set to release their quarterly earnings for January-March.

Mahindra and Mahindra: The company has received approval from the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) for merging its subsidiaries, Mahindra Heavy Engines, Mahindra Two Wheelers, and Trringo.com, with the parent company.

IRB Infrastructure: In its quarterly report for Q4FY24, the company reported a 45% year-on-year increase in consolidated net profit to Rs 188.87 crore for the quarter from Rs 130.15 crore reported in Q4FY23

JSW Energy: The company reported a 22.4% YoY increase in consolidated net profit to Rs 345.27 crore during the quarter. 

Dr Reddy’s Lab: In its quarterly report for January-March, the company reported a 36% YoY increase in net profit to Rs 1,307 crore. 

SJVN: The company has signed a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Juniper Green Energy to supply round-the-clock 320 megawatt renewable energy. 

IDBI Bank: The company has received a GST demand order worth Rs 2.97 crore for excess availment of input tax credit. 

Patel Engineering: The company, along with its joint venture partner, has been announced as the lowest bidder for an irrigation project worth Rs 343 crore.
